Insert Creative Title Here...

I have no energy for being creative tonight.  After a full day, church and a dinner with friends I am just about to crash!  I need to take a few moments to update you all on whats happening here in Bean Town though.  I told Andy the other day how bad I've been at updating the blog, he responded, "It's only been a couple of weeks, you consider that bad?"  or something along those lines.  A lot has been going on around here, including a visitor and almost a week or more of a flu infested house!  Glad to be on the other end of that!

While Andy was in Malaysia, I tried my hardest to keep the kids busy.  One of our friends got this bike (his brother owns the company) and took the boys for a ride.  I wanted to go buy one that day, but unfortunately on a student budget you really aren't at liberty to make such purchases.  It is definitely on my post-gradschool purchase list (that and probably a minivan). ha

Check out the bikes at www.madsencycles.com

I need to insert some of Andy's pictures from Malaysia here, but I have yet to get them from his phone. He had a good trip but was so happy to be back on American soil!  His trip home was long and frustrating.  After traveling from Malaysia to Hong Kong they found out that their flight was cancelled.  Their original flight was supposed to be on one of the new Boeing Dreamliners and because of all the aircraft issues they decided to play it safe and cancel the flight.  The airline then proceeded to 'try' and redirect them through a different flight but a small group of them continued to have no luck.  In an effort to get the students home right away, Harvard purchased all new tickets on a different airline for the remaining group (about 10 people).  Unfortunately when they got to the gate the person at the desk wouldn't let them board...stating that they didn't have bags, and then changing the reason to the fact that they didn't check in on time (even though he had already printed their boarding passes).  It was  a long night and they were eventually put up in a hotel by the original airline and flew home the following day.  Let's just say that jet lag was a beast.  We were so happy to have him home!!

Nana also came to visit, and thankfully her flight had no delays :)  Since Nana was in town, Andy and I decided to take a little downtown overnight excursion in honor of my 31st birthday (since he was gone on the actual day).  We went to dinner and enjoyed this beautiful view from the hotel!  I really do love Boston.

I have to say that I was awful at taking pictures while Stacie was here.  I should have been more proactive, but unfortunately there isn't a lot to see in the middle of winter in Boston.  We did check out the Baker library here on campus though and I loved peeking in this room...makes me think of a movie or something...beautiful!

Unfortunately Stacie's two week trip was interrupted with a terrible case of the stomach flu.  Clare had it for almost 4 days, Stacie got it for 4 days, Noah had it for one and Andy was out for about 3 days.  I somehow missed the wrath, but I am pretty sure the Lord knew we wouldn't survive if I got the flu too!  I won't speak to soon though, it may hit me any day!

I hate when my kids feel lousy, but I will say that I sure enjoyed the cuddles (and the fact that Clare would request to go 'ni-night').  That was pretty sweet, I can't lie.  I am grateful she is back to her old self again though!

Lastly, a few more pictures from the last week or so...

Noah considers himself a Patriots fan, at least for now.

Andy probably doesn't want me to post this picture, but he looks so handsome! He had a quick trip to Chicago and he was headed out to a company dinner.  Definitely different attire than the camo he use to wear!

This was Noah on his sick day.  Nana bought him some toy sharks for his birthday (which he is obsessed with).  Even when he was sick he was happy!

I missed that smile, so glad she feels better!

Just reading Harry Potter.  Clare loves a good book!

I love this quote.  It is definitely GREAT to be alive!

Noah was very proud of his lego car.  Our conversation went something like this... "Mommy, look at my new truck!"   "That's great buddy, did Nana help you make it?"  "No!  I made it all by myself!  Beep beep, comin frough!"   Haha I love this boy!

Starbucks kids sized hot cocoa, our favorite!

Kickin it at Target, we went here a lot while Nana was in town.

Best part of the last week, I got to go to the temple while Stacie was here to keep an eye on the kids.  I love this place.

More to come! xo

Your blog is just my favorite. I feel right at home. It's the home I want mine to be like.

So sorry your kiddos were sick! That's the worst. I totally need one of those bikes! Of course I probably am not strong enough to pedal it, but still ;)
