It was two years ago today that your Mother and I were married for time and all eternity in the House of the Lord—the most special day for our little family. I wish dearly that I could be there to see her beautiful face and celebrate this important occasion, but I have duties elsewhere that I cannot set aside. So it is with all the love that a husband and father can possess that I ask you, my son, to take my place tonight. Please understand the significance of this favor that I ask of you and how fortunate we are to have found enough favor in the Lord’s eyes to be blessed with one of His greatest creations—your Mother. Speaking not only as a father to his son, but also as one fortunate man to another, I ask you to treat her like the little gentleman that you are—because surely, she is the Queen of both our hearts.
Love,
Dad
