A Visit from Grandma and Grandpa J.

At the end of September/beginning of October, my parents flew out from Idaho to visit our little family here in beautiful Boston!

When they go into town on Wednesday we took them over to Harvard Square for a little tour and some food.  Harvard Square is one of our favorite places to go, and it doesn't hurt that it's so close by.

On Thursday we visited the famous Mount Auburn Cemetery and the USS Constitution.  The cemetery was beautiful, as always.  The fall colors hadn't quite turned yet, but the view was still breathtaking.

The USS Constitution is the oldest commisioned Naval vessel afloat.  We were able to see the museum, take a tour of the boat and hear its incredible history.

Here is a picture of my dad raising a flag on the Constitution.  He was able to purchase the flag with an official certificate that said that it flew on the USS Constitution.

On Friday we went apple picking with some of our friends from HBS.  It was a great outing and we gathered a lot of apples for apple crisp.

On Saturday we spent the day in downtown Boston.  We took the T downtown walked through Beacon Hill, walked part of the Freedom Trail, saw Quincy market, Faneuil Hall and the Capital building.

The rest of the trip was spent seeing local farms, taking Noah to the doctor, going to the temple and walking around the HBS campus.  We loved having Mom and Dad here!

Play Catch Up: Photos of the Week

These are some of our random photos from the past month and a half....

It took the kids a little while to adjust back to East coast time...this was a 5 o'clock nap!

Just a little brother sister time :)

Sharing a little Shake Shack ice cream with friends.

Shaving, just like daddy.

A week after we got home from CA, Noah started his first day of preschool.  He has loved it!

A little one on one time with Mommy and some fun at Michaels craft store.

We had some friend from Kansas come stay with us for a couple of days one weekend and we took them to the public gardens.

We also took a trip to a Red Sox vs Yankee's game at Fenway.

A little walk/ice cream break in our own back yard.

Clare can be a little mischievous sometimes.  This is her after an encounter with a marker.  Notice her feet face and hands.  Crazy girl!

While Noah is at preschool, I try to spend some time with Clare.  Here we are spending the morning at the library.

A trip to the park in Boston Common.

A Newsies break.  Who would have though they would love this movie?!

Dinner and yogurt with some of our BFFs in Harvard Square.
