Pictures of the Week

In case my last two posts didn't have enough pictures for you...here are a few more to fill in the gaps!

After Mommy and Daddy's anniversary weekend, Nana took Noah back to her house.  Clare and Mommy had a little one on one time.  It was fun (I mean, just look at that grin)!

A little later...Clare sneezed and the fun stopped!

Meanwhile...Nana took Noah to a toy store.  If you know Noah, you know that at this moment he was probably in hog heaven.

Using up stuff in my fridge/pantry.  Made this delicious Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread. Find the recipe HERE

Clare slept on the way down to Oregon.  It was bliss.

Wearing Daddy's Sperrys.

Noah touching Gramps feet, lets not talk about it.

A little playtime at the park on a sunny day.

Killing a little time at the mall while Nana and Aunt Natalie got their hair done.

Noah waiting patiently for his bath.....(yes he did this himself).

Clare taking a dip in the kitchen sink...a must for every child.

Nana fed Clare a little applesauce while sitting in the awesome (by awesome, I mean broken) high chair.  She made the most of it!

Oregon Coast: Seaside

One day, on our long Holiday weekend, we decided to take a drive out to the Oregon coast to visit the beach and just have a little fun :)  I love the beach.  When I lived in San Diego I would go almost every week.  Unfortunately I don't live close enough now, and the beaches in the Pacific Northwest are much colder than down south.  Either way it was a great time!

Clare wasn't quite sure what to think of the sand...

The beautiful view!

The weather was pretty chilly when we first got there, so we decided to walk around for a little bit.  We grabbed some yummy seafood lunch at Doogers and hit a couple of the shops.  The kids rode the carousel and we even rented a little peddle cart.  I doubt that is the official name, but it was good exercise after our lunch!

After it warmed up we decided to head back to the beach...but not before we got some Tillamook Ice cream!  Oh Tillamook, how I will miss you.

To end the trip we put the kids in their swim suits and headed to the beach to play a little.  Noah loved the water, even if he was shivering from the cold.  Clare didn't care for it as much.  As soon as the water hit her toes she started screaming.  I guess she is more of a warm water kind of girl, but at least she was a good sport.

Instead of playing in the water, Clare played in the sand...and even ate a little too.  She kept trying to go back for more, but we distracted her with some gold fish (of the cracker variety).

I am so glad we were able to make a trip to the coast before the move.  I am going to really being out West.  If you can believe it, we only have 3 weeks and 2 days until we are no longer living in the grand state of Washington!  Wish us luck, because we are currently living in chaos!

Toodles.
