A few weeks ago I took the kids (along with some friends) down to the Boston public gardens for the 'Return of the Swans' ceremony. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Here we are taking a ride on the swan boats.
We have also spent a lot of time at the doctor's office the last few weeks. Well checks/physicals, shots, allergies and blood tests. My kids are usually pretty well behaved though, as long as I let them play with the toys for a while.
The end of Andy's first year at HBS and they had section Olympics! Andy participated in several events, some of which were the three legged race (they won) and the dizzy bat. We went to watch for a while but the heat was a little overwhelming. Glad we could support our olympian a little and root for section E!
One day, I let Clare ride in Noah's car seat. Little did I know that it would be a huge mistake! She screams almost every time we put her in the car now, because she insists on sitting in his seat. I should have known....she was sure happy though!
My dear, sweet friend brought Andy and I a slice of chocolate cake from PF Changs. This was my first experience with the 'Great wall of chocolate' but it certainly won't be my last.
My attempts at a self-portrait, which usually fails. I did make Clare this cute headband though. Too bad she won't wear it (tear).
This is a picture of Clare napping at 8:30 in the morning. This is because she woke up before 5am. Shouldn't that be illegal??
Finally making the sugar cookies that Nana sent us at Easter. Noah would have loved to have just eaten all the dough, but we decided cooked to cook a few. ;)
Thanking their sweet Aunt Kenzie for her package. I love Noah's face in the picture. They sure are characters (with messy faces and messy hair)!
An afternoon at the park...enjoying the sunshine!
Unfortunatley, an afternoon at the park resulted in bad allergies. Eczema rash (it got really bad), blood shot, itchy eyes and a runny nose. We've learned our lesson!
A normal day in the life of Clare, dancing all over the place!
Another HBS barbecue, and who better to spend it with than friends?
Evening park time, Clare was ALL over that playground.
Andy entertaining the children. They did this multiple times!
While I pack, Clare accessorizes.
Princess Clare at her friend, Abby's birthday party. So fun!
Another early morning means another early nap (on the couch)!
Last day in Boston until the fall, and lunch with dear friends.
Best view of driving toward Washington DC is this, the DC temple in the background. It gets me every time. <3
Unfortunately, Noah had another little allergy episode while we were on the road. We got into town, got the keys to our summer place and went to urgent care. Thankfully his eyes looked much better today!
The best part was dinner with family (Andy's brother and his family live 45 min away), a great way to top off the week! Can I exhale now?
