Pepperoni Pizza? Walking? Spicy Foods?

So I have decided that no matter how hard you try to self induce, it won't work unless the kid is ready to come out! Granted, I am sure there are things I could try that may kick me into labor (one lady at Church suggested building a bird house, that's what did it for her...another, Castor oil), but I am coming to the realization that he will come when he is ready...(I am hoping that's in the next couple days).

I have been feeling pretty normal, uncomfortable and emotional. We are so excited for this little guy to join us that it makes this last month feel like the other 8 combined! My mom will be arriving this Friday and we couldn't be more excited to have her coming. February will be a month filled with family visits and we can hardly wait! I just hope our little guy comes before our family does, since he is the reason for their trip to Kentucky (lets be honest, not many other reasons to visit Vine Grove).

Anyway, we will be sure to keep everyone posted on any significant updates...so far I got nothin!

PS. If you have any other safe self inducing ides, send them my way!

Ringing in 2009

So for those of you who may be wondering where all our Christmas pictures are, you will just have to continue wondering. I really didn't even taken more than 2 and I insisted that my sister-in-law not include me in any of hers either. Just know that we had a wonderful Christmas! Even though my doctor recommend that I not travel, we decided to make the 4 hour trip up to Columbus to visit Andy's sister and her family for the 2nd year in a row. They really are the greatest hosts and we had such a wonderful time. I was pretty paranoid about going into preterm labor, but just so you all know, I am still carrying the child. Some days I wish I would just go into labor (although I am not willing to drink castor oil to make it happen)...other days I still feel like there is still so much I need to do. Regardless, time is waning on and we are getting closer to the actual date. February will be a fun month, with visits from both mine and Andy's moms as well as other family and friends stopping in. We are definitely looking forward to that, and I promise to take a lot more pictures!

We are definitely excited/ really nervous about the experiences we know we will have in 2009, especially with the arrival of our baby and the possibility of Andy deploying this March. It will definitely be a year of firsts, but we have been so blessed in 2008 and know the Lord will continue to watch over our little family.

We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and that 2009 holds great things for you and your families.
