Kreativ Blogger Award

My good friend Cari over at An Intentional Life nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award!  I was surprised to say the least!  

Not only should you check out Cari's main blog, but you definitely need to go to her recipe blog as well (Fabulous Foods).  Healthy, delicious meals and I love it!  I browse it all the time when I am writing out my monthly meal plan!  Thanks Cari! 

So, to start off I will tell you 7 things about myself that you may or may not already know and then I will nominate 7 other blogs for the award!  Here goes nothin.....

1. Mopping the kitchen floor is by far my least favorite chore (that and putting laundry away).  I try to keep a very clean and tidy home, but I have to convince myself (usually over a period of days) to get down on my hands and  knees to scrub the floor.  Hate It. 

2. I love the cheesy Disney Channel movies.  No shame. 

3. I am training for my very first half marathon.  Never say never. 

4. I am deathly afraid of deep water.  I don't mind going swimming but won't go into any area where I can't touch the bottom, and I definitely won't jump off the diving board.  

5. I wake up every morning before 5:30am (I would say 5am but I hit my snooze button almost every time).  I started this to get some alone time in the morning, but it always seems that the earlier I wake up the earlier my kids wake up! 

6. Growing up, my brother and I, along with some of our cousins, started a lip syncing group called 'The Holidays' (so original).  We would pick songs and perform them in front of all our family during holiday gatherings.  We even made T-shirts with puffy paint.  A whole lotta awesomeness right there my friends.  

7. Spelling and grammar have never been my strongest points, as you've probably noticed if you frequent my blog.  I even bought a book once that was something like, 'Better Spelling in 10 minutes a Day'.  I think I picked it up once. I do love to write though and am grateful that my friends and family who read this blog are so forgiving!  :) 

Hopefully you don't shun me after reading my 7 confessions!  

Now onto the good stuff...my nominations.  Here are just a few of the blogs I frequently enjoy...

1.  One of my most favorite blogs to read is that of my friend Patty.  Or Patty Published as her blog is called.  Patty is awesome, hilarious and honest.  I love it because she does things or says things that I would never have the guts to do/say.  You could say I sort of live vicariously through her.  She is a talented writer and just an all around great gal.  

2.  My very sweet sister-in-law Megan and her crafting blog called Crafter's Club.  Megan is one of the craftiest people I know.  When my husband was deployed and I lived with my parents we would get together at least once a week and make something.  We even did a sewing class with my mom each week. Some of my best memories from the deployment were spent with Megan and my mom sewing.  She never ceases to amaze me! 

3.  C Stock Write.  Chelsea is another one of my friends.  She is so good with words.  Sometimes I read her blog and I think, how does she write like that?!?  The words just flow!  I love her style, her sense of humor and her adorable kids - and the fact that their family will be at business school with us in B-town certainly doesn't hurt either! 

4. Another of my favorites is one of my former young women, Laney, and her blog the Molly Mormon Saga.  Laney inspires me!  Even at such a young age her writing makes me really think about things.  Makes me recall experiences that I've had in my life that have made me feel similar to her.  She is just one of those people who is beautiful inside and out! 

5.  Kori.  Kori is a rock star.  Seriously.  Not only would she put me to shame at the gym, but she is such a sweet, genuine person.  I love her blog because she is always so positive. Setting and reaching goals and always moving forward if she gets a little off track.  I love her honesty and her drive! 

6. Just Another Day In Paradise.  This just happens to be my other sister-in-law, Larissa. 

Larissa is always up to something!  Her blog is not short of party ideas (to the nines), crafts, recipes and probably anything else you could think of! She is very talented and I love to read her blog because I know I could never do that stuff!  I would fail miserably! I will stick to my instagram pictures and my weekly posts and you all visit Larissa's site for all the other good stuff.  You'll definitely see lots of it!  

7.  Last, but certainly not least is Kar. Karlenn is also a very talented writer, see a theme here?  Maybe that's because she use to be an English teacher?! (See my confession number 7 Kar, haha)  I love her stories and how she gives every detail so you feel like you are there.  I love the stories about her kids because they are always hilarious!  Even better are the stories about her neighbors...I'll leave it at that...you must go read for yourself!
