I know it's no secret that Noah loves to dance. Today we put on some sweet tunes and cut a rug (I love that saying). Even Clare gets into it, bobs her head and claps. She will be a dancer too I am sure. I am not sure where my kids get their professional moves, but I love it. With that, here are some of our favorite tunes to dance to (and a few that just mommy loves). Enjoy.
Demi Lovato- Give Your Heart A Break
I have always loved Demi Lovato (yes, its true), and this song is AWE to the SOME!
Even Noah loves it.....
Going back to my childhood when boy bands were the shiz...heres the new generation of boy band, with a pretty catchy tune!
One Direction- What Makes You Beautiful
Switchfoot - Your Love is A Song
And just a few others...
Ellie Goulding - Lights
Fun. - We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monae)
Train - Drive By

Simple Things: Sunshine!
We have had a wonderful week, a week with more sunny days than rainy ones! We all loved it! Family Runs, a visit to the park and a little time just playing outside. Granted it was still a little chilly, but one day it got up to 60 degrees. Awesome. Unfortunately our sun has gone, and we are back to probably about 10 days of rain. I can make it to summer, I can, I can. I am really looking forward to a Washington summer, before we head out to Boston. Hopefully the weather won't disappoint, and we can go visit all the places on our to see list!
Noah loves his hand-me-down fisher price car. He would go out and drive it, even in the rain. Unfortunately that means I'd have to go out in the rain too, so we save it for sunny days!
Clare and I are a perfect audience.
Daddy was there too, but he was on the phone so we didn't get a shot of him. Clare did get to crawl around in the grass a little, which she loved! I am so excited for summer to get here, so we can spend more time outside (as long as BooBoo doesn't return)!
On Saturday, because we were all up, we decided to go get some breakfast at a local place here in Tacoma. The food was decent, but the portions were huge. See for yourself, these pancakes were from the KIDS menu. Seriously, we didn't even eat 1/2 our food. It was insane.
And just so you can really see the size...

The portions were really outrageous, but we still had some good family time. Later that day (must have been) Noah got his little grubby mitts on my phone and snapped some photos of himself.
I am really digging that hair do! Oh Noah!
I hope you had as warm of a weekend as we did, and I hope you enjoyed it like we did, because the rain has returned. Boooo.

A Little Behind
I have sat down several times to blog this past week, but either I was interrupted and got sidetracked or, I just didn't feel like doing it! I am forcing myself to update right now.
Our last couple weeks have actually been pretty low key, so as far as excitement, I don't have much to share. There is always the every day happenings though, so that's what you get!
Noah missed his nap two days in a row last week, which resulted in this photo op...
Yes, he was fast asleep...at 6:00pm. I woke him up and made him take a bath, that shot some energy into him for a little while. Andy put him to bed, and not even 2 minutes later I went in to say good night and the little fella was already asleep. He sure is sweet!
We've also had some random days of sunshine here and there. We try to take full advantage of them by going out and getting a little family exercise! Noah and Clare do marvelous in the stroller (especially if Andy and I are both there). Andy snapped this adorable picture of the two of them.
I can't help but look at this picture and beam with joy. They sure make me happy, and grateful! We also had a beautiful view of Mt Rainier. This picture does not do it justice, but you get the idea.
This week we decided to tackle the art of potty training. I am actually really pleased with how things have gone so far....but I will say it is a lot of work. I will be happy when it's all over! This is what's happening at our house at any given moment.
To his credit, he has actually only used this potty to sit on, once. Every other time he has gone on the big boy potty, and we are so proud of him. Yesterday morning he went number two on the toilet. I cheered and hollered. "You're the best Noah!" I exclaimed. "Yeah! I sure am! " he responded. Now whenever he goes potty he repeats, "I'm the best mommy!!" I love this age....even when I have to clean pee off the floor.
Lastly, I just had to include this picture just because I loved it. This grin is infectious!
I know I missed my simple things post this week (first one I think I've missed)! But I thought I would include a little something anyway....this week I am grateful for diapers! Although I will not miss buying them for Noah, and my pocket book won't miss them either, they sure are convenient! My hats off to who ever invented those bad boys!
Happy Wednesday friends. I promise it won't be so long next time.

11 Months
Yesterday Clare officially hit 11 months old! I was telling my Mom how it feels like I just had her, and now we are already one month away from her first birthday. It seems impossible!
Clare is such a joy. She really is. She has the most adorable smile and personality. She always brings a smile to my face, and of course (as she should) she has her daddy wrapped tightly around her little finger! If she crawls up to Andy, he has to pick her up, he can't help it. She loves it, and I am pretty sure he does too!
Some things Clare loves....
Sticking her tongue out. Especially if she sees you do it. She is a little copy cat. Nodding her head, dancing and clapping are also things she loves to copy!
Playing with Noah. She will follow him and thinks he is so funny. He loves it, and will often say, "Come-on Clare, in here!" when he wants her to come play with him in his room.
Taking baths...she has always loved them, but recently she will start crying when I take her out!
She also loves food. She is a much better eater than Noah was at this age (at least she will eat a wider variety of food). Her favorites include pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sometimes yogurt, peas, dry cereal and nutrigrain bars.
We sure love this little lady! I mean, just look at that face. Does it get any cuter than that??

Simple Things
I feel like this has been a weird week. I think the week after a vacation always feels that way. I was expecting it to go by really slow, but it actually went by really fast. We've especially had a lot of 'Noah-isms' this week - which basically means that Noah has been especially entertaining. I love the stage in a child's life where they start to say things that just crack you up. Noah is entering that stage, and he definitely keeps us laughing.
For instance, on Monday morning I was putting Clare down for her morning nap and left Andy and Noah out in the living room. After a few minutes Andy went to check on Noah (thinking he was back with me) and found him in our bathroom, standing on the toilet, painting his fingernails. Normally this would cause me to be upset with Noah, but as Andy discovered, almost no mess and Noah actually did a decent job. We had a good laugh.
As you can tell, he has watched me paint my nails time and time again. He was clearly paying much closer attention than I ever thought!! ha.
Another Noah-ism this week...falling asleep standing up, almost. Thursday night after dinner Noah asked to play games on my cell phone and I figured it would be a good distraction for him while I cleaned up. After about 5 or 10 minutes I turned around to find this sweet sight....
Fast asleep. Earlier in the week he had ASKED to go to bed around 6:00pm! Andy and I tried really hard to keep him awake, but in the end he fell asleep on the couch. Maybe it's a growth spurt - or maybe he's catching up on some sleep after playing at Nana and Gramps house all last week!
Noah has also had a lot to say as of late.
Last night, while at dinner with friends, Noah started to take off his jacket. Andy reached out to help him and Noah quickly protested... "No! Daddy, eat your rice!" Haha.
Other things you'll hear Noah saying....
"I a han-some boy!"
"Mommy, where's your house?"
"Mommy, look at Noah!"
"Mommy, dance?"
"Mommy, you wanna play with Noah?" (Yeah, that one gets me where it counts!)
When he wants something and I ask, "What do you say?" he almost always responds, "Please-uh!"
I could go on. I need to remember to write them all down, so I don't forget! What a cute little guy, sausage fingers and all!
