Just a few songs I am digging right now...I listen to them over and over so much that my obsession may only last a couple days before I am tired of them, but for now I can't get enough!

Mr. Smiley
Although it's hard to catch him in action, Noah has become quite the smiley boy (especially when his tummy is full)! He has become so much more alert, and very aware of his hands. This past week Old Navy was having $5.00 sale on all infant clothing, EVERYTHING was five bucks! So naturally we went crazy. I particularly love Noah in this hat, even if it is a little big on him.

Also, this weeks American Idol was great! But Noah wasn't that into it like we were...We call him our little popeye because his forearms are so big! I love it!

Lastly....my friend Lani tagged me in a Photo Tag. Here is what you do, go to your pictures file and post the 3rd picture in your file. Since we don't keep our photos all in one folder...here is the 3rd pic from a random folder!
This is Andy, my sister Whitney and I in Central Park in New York the week before Andy graduated from West Point. I miss NYC!!
So here is who I tag: Lisa, Natalie M., Nate and Cami and Chelsea

Chicken Recipes.
I decided that there is no better way to get recipes than to enlist the help of all my friends and fellow bloggers out there. I have searched a bunch of recipe blogs but can't filter through recipes when I don't know if they are even tasty!
So here's what I am looking for...delicious dinner recipes that call for chicken (preferably chicken breast, since I rarely purchase the thigh or wing). It will be a trade off...I will put one of my favorite chicken recipes below and all you have to do is either leave a comment with your favorite chicken recipe..or email me with it. This may be a good way for us all to get some new ideas, I would be happy to pass along any recipes I get! I am tired of making the same thing over and over. As a side note...I am not a professional cook. I am much better at baking than actual cooking...so if your recipe is labor intensive..I may be to intimidated to try it. (Just ask Andy about the time I tried to make Chicken Florentine Lasagna...enough said!).
Here is my favorite recipe for WHITE CHICKEN CHILI, that I got from my friend Cari. Trust me, its the best one...and I have tried many! Serve it with some home made rolls or bread and you will be in heaven!
WHITE CHICKEN CHILI
1 lg. onion
1 stick unsalted butter
¼ c. flour
¾ c. chicken broth
2 c. milk
1 t. Tabasco
1 1/2 t. chili powder
1 t. ground cumin
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. white pepper
2 cans Great Northern Beans
2 cans green chilies
3-4 boneless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
1 1/2 c. Monterey jack cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
In skillet cook onion in 2 T. butter until softened. In 6-8 qt. stock pan, melt remaining butter over med-low heat and whisk in flour. Whisk constantly until blended and smooth. Stir in onion and add broth and milk, stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer until thickened. Stir in Tabasco, chili powder, cumin, salt, and white pepper. Add beans, green chilies, chicken and cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Serves 4-6

American Idol...
So this is my first season of really watching American Idol. Usually I will catch all the hilarious auditions and then stop watching, but this season Andy and I are officially hooked. Here are a few of my favorite performances... (forgive me for the bootleg versions!)
We love Allison and Danny! On the other hand, who drives me crazy??

gag. His version of Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire' this week was horrible. Good thing he isn't trying to be a country artist.
Until next week.

Bath Time, Tummy Time and a little Uncle Corey Time.
Here are a few pictures of Noah enjoying his nightly bath time. I would have posted pictures of bath time sooner, but in the beginning all he did was scream...but lately he's been enjoying it more and more. Andy has been sick (hence the blue face mask)...and aside from Noah peeing and pooping in the tub, he came out squeaky clean. Something about that warm water causes him to loosen his bowels. Thanks to Dusty and Monica...who got us the cute bath chair for Noah. He loves it!
Also, yesterday I decided that I would let Noah 'play' on his tummy for a while. I have been laying him on his tummy occasionally and he seems to do just fine, but yesterday he was furious! Too bad you can't see the angry look he is giving me, since he has it smooshed down to the floor. Needless to say tummy time only lasted about 15 seconds.

Lastly, here are a couple candids of a sleeping Noah and his uncle Corey the day Corey left. We sure had fun with all our family here!
Gee, I Wish I Was Back in the Arrrrmy!
Everyone is thinking Army these days. While Andy's brother Corey was here, we decided to play a little dress up so Corey could see just what its like to be an Army officer. Here is the result! Doesn't he look like such a natural?

Even Noah thought he would get into the Army spirit and dress up like his dad. Here they are together, see if you can find Noah....
He was such a good sport, but this is really how he feels about the idea of his dad leaving. The picture speaks for itself.

One Month Old and a Blessing
I always thought that having a baby would kick me into picture taking mode, and although I do take a lot more pictures than I use to...I need to be better at documenting Noah's 'milestones'. This last Saturday Noah had his one month birthday. I can't believe how quickly this month has gone by, but we really have had so much fun (aside from being exhausted!). I remember when I would stay at families house and their kids would cry in the middle of the night, I was always so happy I wasn't the one having to get up with a child. Oh how times have changed! But aside from the lack of sleep...being a mom is so rewarding.
This past weekend we had quite a full house. Andy's parents, brother Greg with his wife Allice and baby Gus, and brother Corey were all visiting. We really had so much fun and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to bless Noah. Unfortunately my family couldn't be here, but under the circumstances, and with Andy leaving so soon, it really was the perfect time. We had the blessing here in our home with Andy's family and our good friends Steve and Christy. What a special night it was for me, surreal almost, that I have reached this point in my life. Noah cried through the whole thing, but after the blessing he decided to be calm and took some great pictures.

As a side note, we finally got word on when Andy will be officially leaving. He heads to Fort Benning, GA on April 4th for about a week and then to Afghanistan on April 15th. We have a lot of work to do in the next four weeks but we are grateful for all your thoughts and prayers. I will update again soon!

They Grow Up So Fast
A week ago today we took Noah in for his two week check-up where he weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 12oz!! This weekend Noah will hit his 1 month birthday...I can't believe he is already almost a month old! He is growing so fast and we are having so much fun with him. Andy's mom has been visiting us for the past week and will stay through this weekend, along with other family that will be joining us this week.
This last week we also had some 'newborn' pictures taken of Noah and our little family by a gal in our ward (thanks Cari)! We had a great time and Noah was so well behaved. I am happy to report Noah is a very 'regular' baby. While taking his little naked pictures he proceeded to poop down the front of me as well as peeing on me twice- not counting the other 5 times he peed all over Cari's stuff. I must have been an easy target, since Andy didn't get hit once. That was an experience and I still have the poop stains on my clothes to prove it! Luckily all that air cleared up his horrible diaper rash.
I will be sure to post more pictures this week, so stay tuned.
Just a side note...I have been lovin this new song by Kelly Clarkson. I am sure you have all heard it, but I am posting the video for my pleasure just as much as yours! Follow this link : 'My Life Would Suck Without You'
