Cambridge Fire Station

Last week, for our Crimson Kids field trip, we had the opportunity to go visit the Cambridge Fire Station.  When I heard about this field trip I knew it was one that we would be going on.  The firefighters were so nice and we learned a lot.  The kids all got their very own fire hats and also got to 'drive' the trucks as well.  It was interesting learning about the different trucks and how they operate.

Clare wasn't as interested in the trucks as Noah was, but she was a good sport.  She sure is a cutie (and you can finally see her hair coming in)!

A little family pic!

Pictures of The Week

I finally downloaded pictures from mine and Andy's cell phone.  Forgive me if this post is extra long!

This sleepy face was the afternoon just after daylight savings.  She was one tired girl!

Had a random snow storm,  I kind of loved it.  Unfortunately it only lasted a day or so.  But I'm not complaining about the sunny weather either! :)

Noah got bored while sitting on the potty....

A little blurry, but Clare came up with this outfit all by herself.  Noah's hat, a bib, her favorite skirt and mommy socks.  What a fashionista!

Clare's poop in the bathtub.  Disgusting.

She will literally climb on everything.

Even though the election didn't go the way I'd hoped, I am still honored and grateful that I live in a free country where I can vote!

As soon as I take her out of her highchair this is what she does...refastens the buckles!

Riding his bike during the snow storm!

Part of Noah's artwork from preschool.  It certainly doesn't include everyone on there, but I though it was cute!

Pretty normal scene at our house during dinner time, Clare eats everything and Noah refuses to!

I heard Clare wining in the kids room and came in to find her like this, stuck in the drum.  She tried several times to get our on her own but couldn't quite do it!  Mommy to the rescue!

This is what happens when I try to get my kids to snuggle with me in the wee morning hours (when they should be sleeping).  They crawl all over me instead.  Or read a book (upside down at that)!

I get to walk by this beautiful building on my way home from the gym.  Certainly isn't bad to look at!

Father and Son: Adventures in Boston

Andy and I recently decided that once or twice a month we will split the kids up and each have a little one on one time with them.  This last weekend was Noah's chance to spend a little one on one time with his Daddy.   Their plan was to grab the T and head downtown for some lunch and just a little walking around.   Here are some photos from their day together.

Walking through campus on their way to the train, future alumni right there my friends!!

Waiting patiently for the train to arrive, first stop Downtown Crossing.

Noah has asked several times to go back to, "downtown crossing on the train with Daddy."  He had so much fun with Andy.  When I asked Andy where they went to lunch, expecting to hear some exciting local place, he said, "McDonald's."  Haha, at least they both got something they enjoyed!

Visit to the beautiful state capital building.   And even one of Noah falling asleep on daddies shoulders!

A few more of the city...Boston Public Gardens, Beacon Hill (where Sen. John Kerry lives), etc.  The weather was perfect!

Meanwhile, Clare and I spent our alone time at Costco and napping! Exciting I know, but things had to get done!

Noah had so much fun and continues to talk about it.  Next time we will switch it up and Noah and I will have a date, and Daddy and Clare will.   I look forward to this fun family tradition!
