Simple Things

This week I am grateful to have a reliable and gas efficient car!  Last week we were in a minor car accident and had to take our car in to get fixed.  We were driving down a main street when the other driver pulled out in front of us from a parallel parking spot.  Thankfully no one was hurt!  We did have to drive a rental car for almost a week and lets just say I won't miss paying for the gas!  I'll take our little Toyota Corolla any day...

Here's a pic of the damage...

It's amazing to think that the picture above is over $2000 worth of damage!  So I guess I am also grateful for good insurance! :)

Here's to an accident free week!

Pictures of The Week

I decided (just now, actually) that I am going to start doing an entry each week of just pictures.  I take a lot of pictures/videos during the week and realize it would take me forever to blog about each instance individually, so why not group them all together in one blog post!  With that, here are the pictures from this week....

Noah got up too early one morning and came to cuddle with me on the couch (where I was reading).  It didn't take him long to fall back to sleep!  Cute little fella.

Clare loosing her skirt, this happened several times.  Thank heavens for bloomers!

Going through the shed to sort through stuff for the move, when I went to move this duffle bag a little mouse head popped out of the side!  I just about had a heart attack, no joke.

Ahh, spaghetti!

Clare puts anything and everything on her head these days, literally.

We bought some candy bars from a neighbor girl to support their school track team, Noah got a hold of one and left the evidence.

This, my friends, is what happens when mom is doing her hair and daddy is watching golf. Noah is putting a face scrubber on his belly and Clare is playing with tampons (by the toilet none the less)!  Good thing I Cloroxed my bathroom that morning!

Guacamole Salsa.  Delicious!  Find the Recipe here

I love Biscoff. Whenever I would fly Delta they would hand these bad boys out.  Sometimes I would look for a Delta flight just for the Biscoff! Seriously.  Found these at the Commissary and had to get them!

Clare loves Mommy's glasses...

And Noah loves them too....or to sleep in them anyway.

Lastly, Look what we caught on video yesterday...heaven help me!

Father and Son Campout 2012

This past weekend Andy and Noah went on their first Father and Son Campout with all the guys from church.  Noah was SO excited and talked about sleeping in a tent all week long. When the time finally came he was very ready to go.

For some reason Noah had the idea in his head that he was going to see Dinosaurs in the woods.  It's not unusual for Noah to talk about dinosaurs, but he was very convinced that he would see some.  Andy had to tell Noah that the Dinosaurs were sleeping, or hiding...and finally, when Noah wouldn't let up, Andy had to tell him that there weren't any dinosaurs.  I think Noah was pretty upset at the time, but when they got home he told me that he saw some...so apparently he didn't mind too much!

It didn't take Noah very long to find a friend to play with...

Meanwhile, at home...Clare and I were enjoying some girl time!

Unfortunately Clare went to bed at about 7:30pm so our girl time didn't last long.  I did get some much needed me time though, and even watched The Vow - which I loved, of course.

Back at the campground Andy and Noah were having a good time making smokes, swinging in the barrel swings and hanging out in the tent!  Andy got this beautiful picture by their campground...

Eating breakfast on Saturday morning :)

All in all I think it was a great success!  Noah seemed to have a great time and I know this will be a tradition he will look forward to for years to come!!
