Halloween 2013

I have never been a huge fan of Halloween, and neither has Andy, so we like to do things fairly simple around our house.  Noah originally wanted to be a praying mantis for Halloween, which really freaked me out.  How in the world was I going to come up with a praying mantis costume?  Next he changed his mind to Captain Hook.  I thought that would be a fun costume to put together, but then he made it even easier for me and said he really wanted to be a skeleton!

Clare's costume came about from a sale at JoAnn's.  I found an adorable set of wings and decided to roll with it.  Originally she was going to be a butterfly, but it sort of turned into a butterfly/fairy.  She was adorable.

The night before Halloween I told Noah we could test out his makeup.  He loved it so much he chatted with himself in the mirror for 10 minutes.  It was great!

On the night of, this is what we had.  Cutest kids ever!

We started with a little parade around campus followed by a Halloween party.  The kids loved it and so did all the students!

After the party, we drove downtown to hit up the iconic Beacon Hill for trick-or-treating.  I have never ever seen anything like it.  I wish the pictures would have done it justice, it's definitely something you just have to see for yourself.  We loved it and Noah was on cloud nine getting all that candy!
