First, this little dude interrupts me SO many times that I never even break a sweat.
(don't mind my hand gesture, I can honestly say I have no idea what I was doing)
In fact, I think I get more of a workout from chasing him around then I actually get from my videos (and today's 'workout' was no exception).
Secondly, my sciatic nerve has been KILLING me. I mean it is wretched, awful and almost collapsing. I have been known to crawl up the stairs on my hands and knees on occasion, because it hurts so bad (does anyone else have this issue? I never had it with Noah)! I hate back pain, almost as much as I hated labor pain!
And last, working out when you are pregnant is simply not fun. I mean, I understand the benefits and I am ALL for that (healthy you, healthy baby). I usually love to work out and I worked out about 4 times a week with Noah...but then again I had a lot more time on my hands as well. I know women who are pregnant and have 3 kids and still find time to get in a good workout...why can't I? Who knows really, but unless I go for a brisk walk I just find myself dreading those FIRM videos. Anyone with me??
I have a little under two and a half months to go. So lets hope that I can kick it into gear once the little lady comes, once I've healed from the c-section, once we've moved, unpacked and gotten into a routine. Once I find a gym to go to, or force myself to spend $120 on PX90. Once I get myself some real running shoes. Once I get a little time to myself, once I can wake myself up before 6:30am. Once I can get a workout and a shower in before 3pm...and once I stop typing this post and actually go do it (which won't happen because it is 11pm).
So the cycle starts again tomorrow and for some reason I'm not surprised :) Hopefully I can get a little credit for trying, at the very least!

Oh jeez. I take a sabbatical from exercising when I'm pregnant - I'm just too dang sick. You are amazing that you're even trying to do it. Especially with sciatic nerve pain! My sciatic nerve was HORRIBLE with my pregnancy with Micah. It is STILL sore. I call it my Pregnancy Injury. I get that massager thingey we have and just rub and rub my sciatic nerve. The things we do to bring kiddos here. It was so bad while I was preggo with Mikey that sometimes I couldn't straighten up when I stood up, or walk for a few moments. I was just hunched over and... stuck. :) Be gentle with yourself - you've got a lot on your plate. There will be time to exercise once you feel good again.
Oh kiddo if I had only looked like you during any pregnancy. I would have used it as my excuse to brag and brag and smile but alas I do remember the days. We used to walk the malls at night so I could feel like I was doing something. Of course then there were the stares and people counting how many ducklings were following the waddling mother duck. But thats for another pregnancy:) Love ya
You can do what my mom does... make up random dance moves while in the kitchen that burn out your legs. (she's hilarious) She says it works. :) lol then again, she's not preggo. :) Oh yeah, maybe you should just stick to stretching if your sciatic is killing you. Poor girl. That sounds painful. yeah, I agree with your friend! You're awesome for trying. :)
I had the issue with my sciatic nerve with two of my four pregnancies, so I understand! I couldn't even imagine trying to work out on the days it was the worst... but I did find that if I did stretches (just like you just ran five miles and need a good stretch out), I felt like I was, at least, doing something!
PS... P90X is SO worth the $120! We love it (though we are only on week 1) :-)
